Independent AdTech & Streaming Advisory

Better decisions on architecture, monetization and engineering — without a large consulting project.

I help broadcasters, streaming platforms and AdTech businesses make high-impact technology decisions with greater confidence.

My advisory work combines deep technical understanding with the commercial and organizational perspective required to evaluate complex platform decisions.

01 / Advisory

Focused advisory for consequential decisions

Not every problem needs a large consulting project. Some require an experienced external perspective, a structured challenge of the available options and a clear recommendation.

My engagements are designed around one important decision or problem — with a defined scope and concrete executive-level output.

02 / Expertise

Advisory products

Three focused formats designed around high-impact technology and operating decisions.

01Architecture

CTV & Streaming AdTech Architecture Review

Make the right platform decision before it becomes expensive to reverse.

An independent assessment of an existing or proposed streaming advertising architecture, including consolidation, ad serving, DAI/SSAI, programmatic demand, identity, consent, measurement and build-vs-buy decisions.

Typical outcome

A clear assessment of the options, key trade-offs, target architecture and recommended path forward.

02Monetization

Streaming Monetization Leak Audit

Find where technically monetizable inventory is being lost.

The audit examines the chain across inventory creation, consent, ad requests, demand eligibility, decisioning, VAST delivery, stitching, client rendering and measurement.

Typical outcome

Prioritized technical opportunities, root-cause hypotheses and actions ranked by potential business impact.

03Organization

AdTech Engineering Operating Model Review

Align engineering capacity with the capabilities that create business value.

Assessment of capability ownership, team topology, build-vs-buy decisions, engineering interfaces and organizational complexity.

Typical outcome

A target operating model showing what to build, buy, consolidate or retire — and how ownership should be structured.

03 / When to engage

When an independent review is useful

The engagements are designed for situations where the cost of a wrong decision is significantly higher than the cost of getting an experienced second opinion.

01

Platform migration

You are considering a major AdTech or streaming platform change.

02

Vendor decision

A strategic technology relationship may shape your architecture for years.

03

Monetization gap

Traffic and inventory are growing, but advertising revenue or rendered impressions are not.

04

Technology consolidation

Multiple stacks, teams or platforms need to become one coherent operating model.

05

Cost pressure

Engineering cost needs to decrease without destroying critical capabilities.

06

Organizational change

Ownership, responsibilities or team boundaries need to be redesigned.

07

M&A or strategic investment

You need an independent view of technology capabilities, risks or platform maturity.

04 / Approach

How engagements work

A direct process, designed to reach a well-supported decision without unnecessary overhead.

  1. 01

    Frame the decision

We define the specific question that needs to be answered and agree on the information required.

  2. 02

    Review the evidence

I review the relevant architecture, metrics, organization, vendor landscape or business requirements.

  3. 03

    Challenge the options

I identify assumptions, risks, alternatives and trade-offs that may not be visible from inside the organization.

  4. 04

    Recommend a path

You receive a concise executive-level assessment with clear recommendations and next actions.

Designed for focused decisions, not long-running consulting programs. No large project team. No implementation dependency.

05 / About

Perspective across technology and business

I am a senior technology leader working at the intersection of advertising, streaming and software platforms.

My experience spans the technology chain from consumer-facing streaming and advertising delivery through ad decisioning, programmatic demand, data, privacy and measurement — as well as the engineering organizations required to build and operate these systems at scale.

I work particularly well on problems where several perspectives need to come together.

01

Technology Architecture

What is technically possible, scalable and maintainable?

02

Commercial Impact

How does the decision affect revenue, cost and strategic flexibility?

03

Organization

Which capabilities need to exist internally, and who should own them?

04

Execution

Can the proposed solution realistically be implemented and operated?

This combination allows me to evaluate technology decisions not only as architecture — but as business decisions.

06 / Professional boundaries

Independent by design

I take on a limited number of selected advisory engagements alongside my primary executive role.

Engagements are subject to availability, a professional conflict check and compatibility with my existing professional obligations.

My advisory work is conducted independently and separately from my employment. Proprietary information, work products, systems or other resources belonging to employers, clients or partners are never used in advisory engagements.

Confidentiality and professional independence are fundamental to every engagement.

07 / Contact

Have an important decision to make?

If you are evaluating a streaming or AdTech architecture, investigating a monetization problem or redesigning an engineering organization, send me a short description of:

the decision the current situation the desired timeline

I will assess whether the topic fits my advisory scope, availability and professional conflict requirements.
